Columbia Baptist Fellowship (CBF)

Since 2023, Biz Kidz Academy has been an invaluable partner of the Positive Exposure Youth Program at Columbia Baptist Fellowship. Together, we have engaged more than 150 high school students, equipping them with the  knowledge, confidence, and skills needed to pursue successful futures. 

Through engaging writing workshops, résumé development, vision planning, and entrepreneurship training, Biz Kidz Academy has strengthened our program and empowered students to think beyond their current circumstances.

 

Their commitment extends even further through their generous support of our Best of Both Worlds College Tour, providing more than 50 scholarships that covered transportation, lodging, and meals, making the experience completely accessible for participating youth.

 

Biz Kidz Academy’s investment in our young people has made a lasting impact on countless lives. We are deeply grateful for this outstanding partnership and look forward to continuing our work together during the 2026–2027 program year as we create even greater opportunities for the next generation.

As a mother of five and an entrepreneur myself, I was immediately drawn to Biz Kidz because it aligned with the values I have always tried to instill in my children. 
I have always encouraged them to dream big, work hard,
and understand the importance of entrepreneurship and
creating opportunities for themselves. When they joined
Biz Kidz, they quickly fell in love with the experience.

 

The program has helped them build confidence, develop
leadership and communication skills, learn customer service
 and financial responsibility, and understand what it takes to start and operate a business. Some of my children are
naturally more introverted, Biz Kidz gave them the confidence
to step outside of their comfort zones, interact with others,
and proudly present their ideas and products.

 

Today, I am proud to say that my children own three
businesses, and they continue to grow and thrive as
young entrepreneurs. One of the greatest gifts Biz Kidz
has given them is the opportunity to connect with other
young business owners who share similar dreams and goals.

 

Seeing that they are part of a community of aspiring
entrepreneurs has inspired them to keep learning, growing,
and believing in themselves. Biz Kidz is more than just
a program, it is an investment in the next generation of
leaders, innovators, and business owners, and our family
is incredibly grateful for the impact it has had on our children’s
lives.

J’Pia Brickhouse- Isbell

Biz Kidz Alumnus

Hello, my name is J’Pia Brickhouse- Isbell. When I first heard
about BizKidz I was shocked that students so young were
business owners. At first I thought it was a joke my mother

said to get me to socialize more. But it was not. I soon
learned about the program and the fact they had fashion shows.

 


Even without a business I wanted to join. I did not win that first year with only a few paintings to sell but I did witness not only the prizes, but what kids were capable of if given the chance.

I then focused more on my business, I made more paintings,
business cards, and even got to know much about finances,
I learned more about how to save money. 

 


Through the program I also learned something that could not be learned through books or YouTube videos. I learned how to socialize. I was ashamed that I was the oldest girl in some workshops, but it allowed me to help guide the younger girls.

Biz Kidz Scholarship Award Winner

Biz Kidz has truly been a blessing to my family.

My daughter Dreamer has been a part of this organization for years, and she’s always been encouraged to keep pursuing her dreams and aspirations.

 

 

My son has also had the opportunity to be involved, and it’s been a joy watching both of my children grow in confidence while being surrounded by mentors who genuinely care. I’ve also had the privilege of watching Biz Kidz grow over the years, and it’s been amazing to see the impact it continues to have on so many young people.

 

 

What Marlene and her daughter Ashley have built is truly something special. The love, dedication, and hard work they pour into every child and every event never cease to amaze me. I am so proud of everything this organization represents and incredibly grateful that my family was welcomed to be a part of it. I look forward to seeing the impact continue for many years to come!
